During his early 2000s golden era, rapper 50 Cent partnered with fashion designer Marc Ecko to create the influential streetwear label G-Unit. The fashion brand competed with the likes of Rocawear, Sean John, Phat Farm, and others - during a time when hip hop dominated the charts and the fashion trends, and feuding rap artists only kept us more invested.
As bedazzled tees and slimmer-fitting silhouettes began moving in - and as 50 continued to beef with just about everybody - G Unit popularity declined. While still in business, the label is much different than its peak days, and vintage pieces like this embroidered raglan tee have become mementos of hip hop history.
